Montpelier Plantation, Nevis

The Montpelier Plantation nestles on lush hills in acres of spectacular tropical gardens where the environment is a wonderful blend of charm, peace and relaxation. The restored historic Great House of this 17th century sugar plantation is the centre of Montpelier where guests enjoy cocktails before sampling the fine cuisine which blends the best of local produce with a variety of continental and Caribbean dishes. The plantation inn has its own farm which produces exotic fruits and organically grown vegetables for the kitchen. The 17 beautifully furnished cottage-style guest rooms are spread throughout the lush gardens and each has a private terrace to enjoy the sun and gentle breezes. There is free transport to the Inn’s private beach with safe swimming and good snorkelling and for the more energetic there are opportunities for tennis, hiking, horse riding, golf and a variety of watersports. Lincoln Hoffman and his family have travelled the world and have bought many wonderful ideas to Montpelier and in doing so they have created an elegantly casual haven on the beautiful island of Nevis. You can do as little or as much as you want during your stay at Montpelier – everything will be taken care of.
