Set in 35 glorious acres of lush tropical land, Ottley's Plantation
Inn is a wonderfully relaxing and welcoming retreat where the emphasis is on
hospitality of the very highest quality. The 23 rooms of differing styles are
all furnished and equipped to the highest standards in English colonial style – some
of the cottage rooms and suites have private plunge pools. The old sugar factory
is now home to the restaurant as well as the casual bar and 66ft spring-fed
pool. The acclaimed Royal Palm restaurant features contemporary Caribbean cuisine
which is served on a beautiful covered terrace, and on Sundays guests and visitors
alike gather for the famed Ottley's brunch – a wonderfully atmospheric occasion.
The estate has endless panoramic garden and ocean views and the verdant rainforest
ravine houses the inn's Mango Orchard Spa, where guests can enjoy a variety
of treatments and massages. There is also a floodlit tennis court and the staff
will be pleased to arrange hiking trails, diving, fishing and golf. They also
provide a free shuttle-bus service to favourite beaches. Art and Ruth Keusch
discovered this neglected plantation nearly 20 years ago and with the help
of daughters Karen, Nancy and her husband Marty, they have transformed Ottley's
into the remarkable place it is today.
